Founded in the late 1990s, Underground Clothing was created to bring hard-to-find fashion brands and global trends to Western Canada.

Located at CrossIron Mills and online, we carry a hand-picked selection of stylish, practical clothing from many Canadian designer like Wanakome, Dex, Brunette the Label, Silver Jeans and more! We believe in helping you find fashion that fits your life—modern, comfortable, and uniquely you.

We are Calgary-owned and operated, committed to making trendy fashion more accessible across Canada. We handle the big brands so you can shop small, shop local, and support Canadian fashion.

Our Team 

Sharlene McBride: Partner -With decades of Regional and District management experience across Canada with national retailers, Sharlene curates the buying of our collections, leads our store operations, social media and advertising. Originally from Winnipeg, Sharlene loves living in Calgary with her family. She is always on the lookout for new brands to bring to Underground.

John Stiles: Partner- After years in pharmacy as a pharmacist and retail pharmacy operations, John decided to move to fashion retail. He handles operations, IT, and finance at Underground. He keeps things running behind the scenes so you can enjoy a seamless shopping experience. 

Rhiannon Coatsworth: Manager Staff Development. Rhiannon has years of fashion retail management experience. She is a product guru when it comes to denim. Her specialty is in training and development, and is passionate on developing the team how to find the best fits for our clients.

Viktoriia Borschcova: Marketing Manager. Viktoriia brings creativity to our social media, online store and advertising campaigns for Underground. She has business education degrees and is originally from the Ukraine.  

Vicki Deezar: Store Manager: With years of building and leading teams in a variety of retail environments, Vicki is the warm and welcoming heart of our store. Passionate about helping customers have a positive and uplifting shopping experience, both in-store and online. Vicki is originally from New Zealand.
